Festival for Playful Public Spaces

Pig Chase

Pig Chase is a game for pigs and humans, created by a team of play designers from the Utrecht School of the Arts and animal researchers from Wageningen University. It is an attempt to change the way pigs and humans relate to each other through game design. We are interested in giving pigs an active role in the ethical debates around meat consumption and livestock farming. This session is about what it's like to design for non-humans, how to deal with a sensitive subject while staying neutral and why it's important to open yourself up to surprise while making games. http://www.playingwithpigs.nl/
